A few months ago, I happened across a fairly complete campaign box of Dark Sun for 2nd Edition AD&D. I wasn't really familiar with the setting... like most players, I had read far more on Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance. However, I decided to give it a shot, figuring I probably wouldn't get another chance.
I can only describe what happened next as "love at first sight".
Almost the moment I opened the setting book, I was enthralled. I couldn't find anything about the setting that I didn't like. Over the next few weeks, I struggled to track down and purchase all the Dark Sun books I could find.
I met with brilliant results and now own my own copies of nearly every Dark Sun product TSR ever printed, even if some are "well-loved". Aside from the handful of Dragon articles that I haven't found, the only piece that has continued to elude me was one of the last products that they printed for Dark Sun: a book by the name of Psionic Artifacts of Athas. Thus far, I haven't even managed to find much information as to what is in the book other than "psionic artifacts".
Is there anybody out there that can tell me a bit more and let me know if it is worth my time to keep looking for it? More importantly, are there any other Athas Addicts that would like to use this as an opportunity to discuss this long lost campaign setting? Any stories about half-giants and cannibal halflings to recount?

Hey Josh, I really have no idea what is inside but you can buy a downloadable copy of that book for $4.95 at
www.rpgnow.com/product...s_id=1241&
Probably much cheaper and less time consuming than trying to find a "real" copy.

Aw... that's cheating. I have to admit that I am something of a purist when it comes to things like this. I kind of like to have a solid book in front of me.
However, thanks for the tip, as it might have to serve as a fix until I have a chance to really dig.

I have a friend over here in Seattle, he has everything that was Dark Sun, and he ran several games in that setting, I'll see about getting his info for you.

Man I have to aggree its so much more satisfying to hold the book in your hands as you rifle through the pages.
Dark Sun is the greatest d&d setting ever!
