I've been wanting to play Dungeons and Dragons for a while and haven't had the money to buy my own set and books, and I would rather learn how to play before getting one. I was wondering if there was a group that I could join and that would be patient enough to teach me the game, although I do learn fast. Anyways, help would be really great. Thank you.

I'm in the same boat. Really want to learn.

Hey guys, I will be running a new-people friendly game of Pathfinder (which is for all intents and purposes DnD 3.5) twice a month starting this Saturday (the 25th of September) at 1:00.

If either of you are interested feel free to drop in and I'd be happy to show you the ropes.

That would be perfect. I'll see if I can drop by. I will also (maybe) be meeting somebody with my friend who will teach us tomorrow.
Thank you though.

Squig, I'd love to join in but Saturday's/weekends are tough for me to make time. Thanks though.

Thingol, you got room for an extra perhaps?

Bomberooski, turns out I misread my friends message wrong. Which said

I found a dm with everything we need
Come downtown tomorrow

What he actually meant, was to plan a time with the dm and that I should hang out today. I thought it was meeting the dm today. But oh well. So I know nothing of our new DnD plans.

I'd also like to learn dungeons and dragons ,but don't know how, have no books and no prior experience with RPG's but am a quick learner and am very eager to play. I know this sounds like a lot of no's ,but it can quickly turn into a lot of yes's. I'd love to sit in on a game or two if I could. I could also (possibly) come in this next Saturday (tomorrow) if you reply quickly. Oh and thanks.

Certainly, Zachman, feel free to swing by today (the 25th of September).

I'll be in the shop at 1:00 and I've got dice, books, etc that you can use while we're there. I intend to run a really nice straight forward game that won't require any crazy special knowledge, and the plan is to go through each step of the game as a group.

Anyways, hope to see people around 1:00 today.

I'm going to be there for sure. I can bring some of my own dice too. I am leaving pretty soon actually and will get there a little bit before 1. See you there squig.

Any luck at a mid week night game?
