I'm a big fan of the Savage Worlds system and it's ease of play. As a result, we have more than a few Savage Worlds books and adventures in the store. My favorite is definitely Deadlands: Noir for more than a few reasons.

Noir is unique in my experience due to the emphasis on working out clues and solving mysteries. You get the experience of fighting supernatural monsters, but you also get the challenge of puzzling through murders and blackmail and mob connections in order to leave your mark on the city of New Orleans, or wherever else your journey may take you.

Another big reason to check out Deadlands is the vast differences in play styles you can build. From Native American Shamans, to cardsharks who gamble with demons to get powers, this setting is chock full of rules to build the character who fits you best. So whether you want to be a Martial Artist or an undead mad scientist, you can find your place in the party.

The 21st of June is Free RPG Day this year, and as a special treat, the author of Deadlands Noir is going to be joining us at Merlyns, first leading a discussion about creating better adventures at noon and then playing some adventures in the back. Check out the event at: www.facebook.com/event...r=upcoming

We keep all of the various Deadlands and Deadlands Noir books in stock, including the Savage Worlds core book. We also keep a giant selection of other RPG books if Noir isn't right for you, so come down to the store and check out our selection to see if your new favorite RPG isn't just around the corner!
