Hey Everyone! I would like to thank you all for coming to the 24 hour comics event it was a great success! Thanks for staying the Big 24!

Check out the event site for links and to see what people posted as their finished work! It is awesome!
www.facebook.com/event...557&ref=ts

or for what the event is about go to:
www.24hourcomicsday.com/

It was good to see some new faces! Hope you had fun!

It was great to see the old faces too, I mean those that returned from previous years, not the elderly lol!

NEXT YEAR... Come on back!

Very Happy There are a lot of people to thank. Merlyn's for Hosting. Applebee's, Cyrus O'Leary's, Red Lion, Spokane Comicon and The Comicsmiths's Guild; for providing food and beverages. Someone also brought a case of DEW thanks to you as well! I can not remember who it was though sorry!

The Merlyn's staff should get a shout out as well for being such gracious hosts. A special thanks to Kevin Cosner who Joined us for the event after he finished his shift. Wink

I want to thank John Wait, the owner, personally! THANKS MAN!!!

Remember to support your local stores, if you came to the event you are an artist aspiring to get published. Published as a comic artist. So grab some comics! Buy local, the store fronts are where the people see your work! The industry right now is very tight. I could get into the whole economy thing, but we all know it sucks right now. Buy Local!

I would like to ask everyone who participated in the event to stop back at Merlyn's and thank John Wait the owner for hosting the event yourself. It is a lot of work! Pick up something from the store! You know you enjoyed being there!

Embarassed There is something that does need said, an apology to John. I AM VERY SORRY! Sorry that you had to end up baby sitting the participant that was running amuck, in the wee hours of the morning might I add! Apparently people do not (and did not at the time) realize exactly how stressful it is keeping the store open and theft/damage free. That participant will not be invited back.

Again Thanks to everyone who had a part in making to 24 HOUR COMIC BOOK CHALLENGE a success.

Please contact me if you have any suggestions and/or ideas Idea for next year's event. We are always looking for sponsors and donations for raffle prizes.

I'm available at evilbutgood @ gmail.com or look me up on facebook;
KEEP THOSE PENCILS TO THE PAGES! Rachel Green

PS As soon as I can I'll post Pics and Character sketches!

Also check out these sites! You know you wanna! Check 'em out, OR NO SOUP FOR YOU!

This was the first year I tried this and I had a lot of fun. I clearly had rookie endurance, though. I had to tap out after only 9 and a half hours. I felt pretty good about what I got done, though. I penciled 8 pages and lettered 4 of them. At that pace, if I had been able to stay for the full 24, I might have come reasonably close to a 24 page comic (uninked, though - really not sure how to go about that).
