This week we received a game called TOKAIDO
In Tokaido, each player is a traveler crossing the "East sea road",
one of the most magnificent roads of Japan.
While traveling, you will meet people, taste fine meals,
collect beautiful items, discover great panoramas, and
visit temples and wild places
but at the end of the day, when everyone has arrived at the
end of the road, you'll have to be the most initiated traveler –
which means that you'll have to be the one who discovered
the most interesting and varied things.
This is a game probably unlike any you've played before.
Through a unique zen mood, Tokaido is a strategic game
while being extraordinarily peaceful and easy to learn.
Tokaido isn't about smashing your opponent over the head
with half-bricks or building your engine into an unstoppable
points monster. The game's presentation is enough to lull
you into a cosy, knitted jumper wearing and green
tea-sipping stupor. Everything is extremely attractive and inviting.

Tokaido is an elegant and refreshing new kind of game.
A typical game is 45 minutes for 2-5 players. 8 years and up.
