**) NEW, LONGER MERLYN'S HOURS. TILL 9PM EVERY DAY! - We are going to be running longer hours at the store for your game playing and buying pleasure. Our new hours are 10am - 9pm EVERYDAY!! So now it's easy to remember. And if you want to use our free game room anytime during the day, feel free.
1) WARHAMMER FANTASY 'ARD BOYS , 3000 POINTS, SUNDAY AUG 29TH, 11AM - Our tournament will be on Sunday, August 29th. The store will be open at 10:00 for registration, and games will begin at 11:00. Rounds will be 2 1/2 hours long, so plan to stay the whole day. We will break for lunch after the first round.
The rough schedule for the day will be :
10:00- 10:45- Registration
11:00-1:30- Round 1
1:30-2:15- Lunch
2:30-5:00- Round 2
5:15-7:45- Round 3
7:45-8:00- Final Standings and Prizes

2) LOOKING FOR PATHFINDER/3.5 AND 4TH DM'S - We are looking for a couple of DM's to run weekly, bi-weekly or monthly 3.5/pathfinder and 4th edition Dungeon's and Dragons. You have to be social, articulate, bright, personable and clean. And we have some of the promo wizards of the coast adventures you can use if your turn out to be REALLY GOOD. If your interested in running a D&D game (or other RPG'S) on a regular schedule at Merlyn's for anyone that want to try the game, drop John a note to goribob@gmail.com.
3) FALL CLOTHES AND FOOD DRIVE FOR OURPLACE - We are doing our yearly food and clothes drive for http://www.ourplacespokane.org/. OURPLACE is a great charity donations group in West Central Spokane. Their donations and funding is way down, and their needs are way up in these hard times. So if you are able to help out and have used cloths or food or other donations, come by MERLYN'S and leave the stuff in the donation baskets. It will all be put to good use. Thanks for your support.
4) HEROCLIX RELEASE DAY TOURNAMENT, SEPT 8TH, 5PM - We will have a special release event/tournament at 5pm, sept 8th for the Heroclix: Web of Spider-man release. We are going to do a booster draft, so everryone will buy a booster, and you will take one guy and pass the pack around. Booster drafts are great fun and pretty fair. We also will have special prizes for winners and players.
5) WALKING DEAD PREMIER NIGHT PARTY, OCTOBER - We are going to have a premier viewing of the new Walking Dead TV show. This will be on proemier might in October. We don't know the exact date yet, but we will play some zombie games, and then watch the TV premier on a big screen TV. It should be super fun, and I am trying to get some promo goodies for the event from Dark Horse comics as well. Stay tuned for time and date.
6) SUPER REVOLVING DISCOUNT AREA!! - We changed a couple of the glass cases into the SUPER REVOLVING DISCOUNT AREA. Check out the "Discount game" counter at Merlyn's. Everyday is an escalating discount from wed = 20%, thur=30%, fri=40%, sat=50%, sun=60%, mon (today) 70%, and Tue=80%. Lots of cool, weird goodies changing every week. How long will that thing be in there that you want? When do you have to come in to get it? Come try it out.

1) FLAMES OF WAR "EARLY WAR" RELEASE AND TOURNAMENT - We are having a Flames of War "Early Wars" early release tournament Saturday, Aug 21st at 2pm. You can buy the Early War book, and/or play in a 1500 point Flames "for fun" tournament. Cost is $5 for the tournament with all money as prizes. The Early War book is $45 plus tax after the discount.
Plus we will have the pre-release "early war" British and German Battalions avalable for sale that Saturday as well.
2) MAGIC 2011 GAMESDAY, AUG 15TH, SUN, 11AM - We will have the 2011 gamesday event coming up Sunday Aug 15th, 11am. It is a standard constructed event with a cost of $3. There will be prizes and special dci cards for the winners, and another dci card for all participants.
NEW MAGIC PRICES, BOOSTERS $3.29, BOX $99 - We got a special deal that we are passing on to our customers, Recent magic boosters are now $3.29 plus tax. This includes Zendicar, Eldrazi, and the 2011!! And sealed boxes of these sets are $99.00 plus tax.
NEW MAGIC TOURNAMENT INFO - We're also changing our tournament entry fees. Friday Night Magic will now cost $3 with no purchase requirement, meaning that all entries go to prizes. Drafts of new sets will be $13.00, which buys the three packs for the tournament plus $3 to prizes. This means that an eight-person tournament will pay $24 plus the promo DCI prize cards, and the winner on each day of the week will be added to our Top Players board.

1) UPCOMING MAGIC TOURNAMENT, 2011 GAMESDAY, PORTLAND GPT - We are running two upcoming special tournaments soon, the 2011 gamesday and the Portland GPT qualifier.
MAGIC PORTLAND GPT QUALIFIER, AUG 8TH, SUN, 11AM - We are running the Portland GPT qualifier Aug 8th, sunday at 11am/ The cost is $22.99 for this sealed event. Every player will get 6 boosters to make their deck, and there will be prizes based on participation numbers. See this link for more info -
MAGIC 2011 GAMESDAY, AUG 15TH, SUN, 11AM - We also have the 2011 gamesday event coming up Sunday Aug 15th. It is a constructed event with a cost of $3. There will be prizes and special dci cards for the winners, and another dci card for all participants.
NEW MAGIC PRICES, BOOSTERS $3.29, BOX $99 - We got a special deal that we are passing on to our customers, Recent magic boosters are now $3.29 plus tax. This includes Zendicar, Eldrazi, and the upcoming M11!! And sealed boxes of these sets are $99.00 plus tax.
NEW MAGIC TOURNAMENT INFO - We're also changing our tournament entry fees. Friday Night Magic will now cost $3 with no purchase requirement, meaning that all entries go to prizes. Drafts of new sets will be $13.00, which buys the three packs for the tournament plus $3 to prizes. This means that an eight-person tournament will pay $24 plus the promo DCI prize cards, and the winner on each day of the week will be added to our Top Players board.
2) WARHAMMER 40K TOURNAMENT, AUG 22ND, 11AM, 1850 POINTS - Steve is running our latest Warhammer 40k tournament Aug 22nd at 11am. The cost is $5.00, and sundays are free parking days downtown. The point amount is 1850. Check out this link for more info -
