Listen, we've all seen the demographics. When it comes to reading comics, men outnumber women like Guys Night at a singles club, but ladies, let's not feel down about that.
That just means maybe you're a little picky about what to read.
I mean, let's face it. Some people aren't going to just pick a comic up and start reading it just to say "Hey, look! I'm reading a comic!"
We all know there are comics WITH women in them, like Wonder Woman and Batgirl, but what about FOR women?
Well, we at Merlyn's try hard to make sure everyone enjoys comics and so with that, I give you some titles FOR women to read.

For ongoing titles, there's:
Freelancers, a fun sassy read that feels like a teenagers version of Charlies Angels.

Wonder Woman. We all know WW, but DC's latest version, with art by Cliff Chang, is remarkable.

Batgirl. Written by Gail Simone and if you don't know who that is, she's pretty much the go-to woman for writing stories ABOUT women.

Captain Marvel. This title isn't the biggest selling book Marvel has to offer, but it's clearly one of the best and is actually starting an underground movement called Carol Corps. Not many comics have this much pull and it's been great to watch.

Lady Rawhide is Dynamites version of Zorro for women and keeps the action going.

Also, if you haven't been reading Marvel books lately, Electra is back and is part of the Thunderbolts team, where she brings a lot of mystery with her.

If your into Steampunk, Girl Genius is a great run.

Fearless Defenders is another Marvel title that is about a team of women fighting evil with some of the greatest cover ideas ever.

Some other ideas are Doctor Who, DC has just collected CHASE, a female detective who "chases" after super powered villains, True Blood based off the series and the Amanda Conners series Silk Spectre from Before Watchmen just to name a few.

There's also some great graphic novels we can recommend based on your likes, so come on down and talk to us, we'll see what we can do!

Listen and read the 1940's adventures of Martin's Raiders

Watch The HANGAR BAY SHOW - It's not the nerd-cast you deserve, it's the one you need!
