I will be bringing my US force down to Merlyn's looking to play on Wednesday and Thursday. Also, if anyone is interested, I am going to put on a game demo both days. On Wednesday, I am going to do Memoir '44 and on Thursday, I am doing a demo for Wings of War (WWI air combat). Let me know if you're interested. I have also posted more on these demos under the 'other' category on the forum board.

do you also play the WWI game with the HMGS group? I have been talking to some of their number about going to see them play that and some other games on Friday Night either this week or next.

Wish I could come down on Wed. or Thurs.

Actually, with the Moscow game tomorrow, I will be pushing back the demo until next week, the 24th. Please be sure to mention it to everyone to come down to Merlyn's at noon on the 24th. The game is really cool, very easy to begin playing, and probably one of the best air combat games I have ever played.
The friday night group is going to stop playing their WWI air game (canvas eagles) for a while and play a WWII miniatures game (different rules from Flames of War, I think). The rules for Canvas Eagles is free online, just use the link below.
I have begun a collection of 1:72 WWI aircraft models in hopes of being able to play Canvas Eagles with my own gaming group (I work Friday nights, so I can't make it to the other games). It's a bit of money to set up, but the results are very impressive (see the Canvas Eagles website for pics). www.generalissue.com/canvas.html
So, everyone be there NEXT Thursday, the 24th, and I will make sure to have all of my stuff there waiting. LOTSA FUN!!!!

Mike, I am out of town otherwise I would be there. Sounds fun. Years ago we played a game called Spitfires and Messerschmitts. With 72nd scale models on Antenna. It was fun. Maybe I can catch up later.

I used to play a wwi game called Dawn Patrol. That was done with clothes lines and antennas.

The 24th I believe will be a demo of Memoir 44 and the WWI flying game. I am sure Mike might be talked into showing you FoW as well. If I am there, I will gladly do so as well.

Either game is fine, but I will have to ask my friends if they will still want to come. If there wont be a demo for FoW on the 24th, when would be the next oportunity to participate in one?

I am sure we can manage to bring or FoW stuff down as well. Just for clarification: I will be doing a demo for Wings of War (WWI air combat game) starting at noon. Ending time is dependent upon participants. If there is time after, I will gladly be up for playing some FoW.

For Wings of War on Thursday, I will have room for about 10-14 people to play at once. I was curious to see who was interested in playing. If you could, just respond to this post by Wednesday night and that way I can get an estimate on the number of people playing and set up some scenarios accordingly.
Scenarios will be straight up dog fights, recon and photo missions, bomb the trench missions, and destroy the zeppelin. Players can take on the role of WWI air pilots or command ground gun emplacements (sounds boring, but when I did it, I shot down more planes than all of the other players combined).
So, just respond to this post by Wednesday night and let me know if you will be able to make it down to Merlyn's Thursday at noon (August 24th).
