I was wondering how good of quality these are? I can get tones of them cheap for ACW and Napy. I really wanted to buy some airfix or italiri.
What do you guys think?
Thanks!

The figures are great and let you get into a era very cheap, just very hard to pain and have the paint stay on with play. If I just wanted to field a cheap army and not paint them, this is the way I would go. Remember, some of the poses in the boxes don't work for field units. So if it says 50 figs, 40 may work in a field unit. I have found that the cavalry usually all work and the artillery work well. Buy a few and see what you think.

Thanks!!
I am bidding on 1223 napy one ebay at the moment. So, even if you prime them, paint them, and then spray them with flat finish, the paint still comes off?
Thanks again!

Unfotunately yes, The figures are just to flexible. Rifles are the first to shed the paint as you play with them. I looked at some airafix I did 35 years ago and was surprised that many still had uniforms but swords, rifles etc were bare and long gone. Short term though they work and actually take paint well. Remember they are oil base (plastic), so you need to wash them in warm soapy water first. Use a soft brush in soapy water and go over each figure. There is a residue left of the figs from molding. Let them dry well. Spray them flat black or flat white. Alot of Napy painters use flat white because the paint will look brighter. Paint the figs. Seal with a spray sealer. Michaels has a spray sealer that says flat. Then spray with a matt varnish. Several coats. This should give you as much protection as possible. This used to work pretty well. Don't get upset when one starts to flake. If you mount your troops on large bases, to minimize handling it helps. Use 6s or 8s.

Thanks!!
I was planing to do 6 to a larger base. Or I was going to have each be on their own base, because It would be easier to take them off for games such as RRTF that could be converted into a napy game.
Thanks again!

I found an old box of revil 1/72 at merlyns. It is a union artillery battery, I bought it and paint today, the box was an okay price.
Well, so far I love the scale, But what should I use to base my minis on?
Thanks!
