Hi...my name..is Thomas... I am 36 years old....

I pretty much dont play anything...since I have yet to meet anyone resembling a gamer here in beautiful grant county (ephrata/moses lake)

gas prices the way they are makes trips to spokane or seattle a rare treat..I am originally from Bremerton Washington which is a gamer haven so you can pretty much name a roleplay system and i have at least made chars for it...

I have also played: Warhammer Fantasy,40k,Epic, Clan War from AEG,Classic Battletech

A host of eurogames..

as for card games...I dont own but a single magic deck...though i am fairly skilled in drafting.....I am also skilled in the game v:tes.

if you guys are aware of the secret gaming underground in my area...throw me a bone.. my medical issues prevent me from doing long distance traveling during the week unless planned a month in advance. Crying or Very sad

Several months ago, I was running an oldskool D&D 2nd ed. campaign centered around the 1st ed. module "Castle Amber" and it was a blast. We had to hang it up rather quick though. Pity, most everyone made it to fifth level and the Gate of Silver Keys. They solved the puzzles and everything. I was very impressed.

Some downtime went by, and then my wife asked to give DMing a shot. At first, I didn't think she was serious, but she was. So this is the first time I've had the chance to actually play a PC in about 15 years.

It was like starting over again. As a matter of fact, it was a 1st level game.

We were your stock party, nothing too off-the-wall. I was the elf. We were going down an old, dark, underground hallway. Dripping water from leaks in the ceiling spattered on the floor.

The DM told us a closed door could be dimly seen in the distance with some runes carved on it, but it was too far away to clearly make out.

Well, we weren't stupid, right? We all stopped short of it and had the thief check carefully for traps. No traps. No hidden doors. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary.

DM: What do you do next? Does anyone wish to proceed down the hall?

ME: Well geez, we've been standing here for 5 minutes of game time here. I'm not intimidated. I walk up to the door and read the runes.

DM: You note the floor beneath you isn't stable just as you're falling through it. The deadfall causes you to drop 10 feet with debris from above breaking off and landing on you (rolls damage). You take 3 pts.

ME: HOLY CRAP, I'm nearly dead, who's the freakin' cleric?

EVERYONE: YOU ARE!

GNOME (calling down the hole): Oh yeah, PJ! I forgot to tell you. My character can detect shifts in hallways and unstable stonework. . .to bad I'm in the back, huh?

Felt 12 years old again. Very Happy
