I am sorry for getting to this so late, but on Wednesday, June 13 the Captain America Heroclix set releases. We will be hosting our usual release day booster draft at 5:00 pm.

For those who haven't played in one of these, here's how we do it: everybody buys a single booster of Captain America (around $12), and all the players meet in the back at a table, seated in a circle. Everyone opens their booster box at the same time. Each of us will select the one piece we want the most, and then pass the rest to the left. We then will pick the one we want the most from the pieces passed to us and pass the remainders to the left. This goes on until all of us have our 5 pieces. Then we run games in which we all play with what we get, regardless of points. At the end, everybody rolls dice to see who gets first pick for tournament prizes.

It is always a good time. This year, I have had a number of people ask about learning to play. Wednesday is an excellent opportunity for that. Since the points are so unbalanced in this format, everybody is just playing for fun. I'll personally be on-hand to help explain everything. Introducing new people to the game is something we all love to do.

I hope to see some of you there.

I almost forgot - since the last time I posted about this set, we have learned the entire roster of characters that will appear. In order, here they are:

01. Captain America (James Buchanan)
02. Howling Commando
03. Hydra Agent
04. S.H.I.E.L.D. Specialist
05. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent
06. Black Widow
07. Adaptoid
08. Stonewall
09. Slingshot
10. Mentallo
11. Jack Flag
12. Diamondback
13. Mister Hyde
14. Luke Cage
15. Red Guardian
16. Nomad
17. Richard Fisk
18. Maria Hill
19. Yelena Belova
20. Super Adaptoid
21. Phobos
22. Hardball
23. Nick Fury
24. Doorman
25. Sin
26. Viper
27. Nightshade
28. Batroc the Leaper
29. Klaw
30. Falcon
31. Steve Rogers
32. Scorpion (Female)
33. Scientist Supreme
34. Quake
35. Hellfire
36. Armadillo
37. Black Panther
38. Cobra
39. Eel
40. Captain America (Steve Rogers)
41. Mr. Immortal
42. Crimson Dynamo
43. Darstar
44. Ursa Major
45. Fixer
46. Gorgon
47. Dirk Anger
48. Quasar
49. Maelstrom
50. MODOK
51. Scorpio
52. Red Skull
53. Baron Strucker
54. Baron Zemo
55. Kitty Pryde
56. Squirrel Girl
57. Invisible Woman
58. Human Torch

The closer to the beginning of the list, the more common the piece will be. The closer it is to the end of the list, the more rare it will be.

In addition to those pieces, there will be a Buy-It-by-the-Brick figure, Life Model Decoy, that will appear as a sixth figure in one out of every 10 boosters. If that one appears in our booster draft, the person who opened that box gets to keep it, in addition to their first pick.

There are also 5 chase figures that are the rarest ones of all. If you get one of these 5 in your booster box, I highly recommend you keep that one. They are....

- Rohjaz
(parallel timeline version of Steve Rogers from the 1602 storyline who was raised by Native Americans)
- The Captain
(Steve Rogers in an alternate costume from a story in which he was found worthy enough to wield the hammer of Thor.)
- Cap-Wolf
(From a classic 80s-era Captain America storyline in which Cap was temporarily inflicted with lycanthropy.)
- Captain America
(From the classic Avengers #4 from the 1960s, in which the Avengers rescued Captain America from being trapped in ice, which had kept him in suspended animation for nearly two decades - the sculpt actually has Cap in ice!)
- Weapon X
(From the Weapon X story that came out of Marvel Comics Presents - this sculpt is similar to the Cap-in-ice sculpt, in that it features a character trapped inside a casing from which they will eventually escape to wreak havoc in the game. In this case, it is Wolverine inside a giant stasis tube.)
