Tak is a new abstract strategy game created by James Ernest and Patrick Rothfuss, based on the game in The Wise Man's Fear.

Tak is a beautiful game with simple riles and deep strategy. Players take turns either adding a piece to the board, or moving a piece or stack under their control. The goal is simple: make a toad connecting opposite sides of the board.

Building on classic games such as chess, mancala, and go, Tak joins a long tradition of abstract games with simple rules and complex strategy. With variable board sizes, Tak offers challenge and excitement for players of all skill levels.

Designed by award-winning game inventor James Ernest.

Described in the New York Times bestselling novel The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.
