Reaper Miniatures has always been a brand with some interesting figures. From Boy Scouts to aliens, they make pretty much everything, but that doesn't mean that they don't drop in on the classics every now and then.

Cowboys & Gunslingers is Reaper's newest box set, and like all of their other products, it has some awesome sculpt work. This box has ten 25 mm figures and bases for them, but they leave the painting to the customers. You can choose to paint them era-accurate like they're shown on the box, or you can throw accuracy to the wind and come up with a paint scheme unique to you.




The Mouslings Tavern box may appeal more to some of you, and we still have one of them on the shelves. Like with their cowboy counterparts, these drunken mice come as unpainted pewter models. This time there are nine of the little figures and they come with their own names as shown on the back of the box. Martin & Lewis share a base, meaning that this box still holds ten unique characters.




Before you worry about where you're going to display your mice and gunmen when they aren't visiting a tavern or painting competition, remember that the box these little fellows come in doubles as a carrying case.




Whether you're a newbie to the painting scene or a professional looking for something different to work on, both of these sets are full of highly detailed pewter models with a high degree of resilience. Grab these figures now and paint them up, and if you don't like the way they come out, strip the paint and try again. These boxes offer a great way to improve your skills at painting in detail without ruining plastic or resin models.
