Just picked up the book last week and the game looks awesome. Is anyone running any games yet that I could join up with? I've never actually got to play any cyberpunk game but it looks like something I'd like to get into.

Yeah, the ICE that can follow you back out of the net into the real world sounded like a damn cool idea. So much for just jacking out and making a run for it.

Yeah, it's one thing to be slinging code at an ICON of a 10 foot tall hellhound, but quite another thing to be squaring off against an ACTUAL 10 foot tall metal hell hound. Nanotechnology can be scary.

Not sure, I ran across an interview with Mike Pondsmith. He said the Referee stuff should be coming out real soon, along with sourcebooks every other month.

I used to love this game when it first came out. The usual suspects of the D&D "power charecter slingers" started to play this game and very quickly realised it was too lethal to slug there way out of any potential conflict. Role Playing became essential to survival. 2nd edition got nerfed quiet a bit and it was fun for a while but nothing like the first edition. 3rd more lethal or less?

Combat looks pretty serious, a handgun can easily put you in the hospital for more than a week if you're not careful. Unless you have Rolling State nanotech installed, they can recover from some pretty nasty stuff just by sleeping in for a few extra hours.
