There are a bunch of good books right now. Don't be offended if your favorite books don't make my list, because there are some good ones I'm not reading and some good ones that just won't fit into a list of ten.

With that said, there have been so many cancellations and new series recently that you may not know where to turn to for some of the best new issues every month. Here is, in my humble opinion, a list of the top 10 most exciting books for me when I see them come in.

#10. Larfleeze- A reluctant Larfleeze tries to save his own skin, acting almost heroic in the process.
#9. Manhattan Projects- A truly twisted science nerd's fantasy, where Oppenheimer, Einstein and the rest of the most brilliant minds of the Manhattan Project are turned into super-villain versions of themselves.
#8. Sandman Overture- Exactly what you want from a Sandman book from Gaiman himself.
#7. Deadpool- Both hilarious and serious at times. I never thought I'd have sympathy for Deadpool, but Posehn surprised us all here.
#6. Moon Knight- Warren Ellis, re-imagining Moon Knight. This reminds me quite a bit of Rorschach from the Watchmen books, and I can't wait for more.
#5. Hawkeye- Ever wonder what an Avenger does during his off-time? Well, Hawkeye has misadventures regardless of when he's on duty and every book has been great.
#4. Bravest Warriors- If you haven't seen the You-Tube series, do so now. These books are the same characters in book form, and just as hilarious.
#3. Saga- I'm convinced Vaughn writes this using a dart board and a list of plot points, but he somehow turns these into a compelling space odyssey and a world I can't help but want to explore.
#2. Uncanny Avengers- This book starts with Red Skull stealing Xavier's brain, and gets crazier from there. The conflict between heroes, the epic combats, and the compelling storylines, I love it all.
#1. East of West- This is a post apocalyptic Western in a style similar to Deadlands, the roleplaying game. I've thought I knew where this book was going 3 or 4 times now, and every time I do Hickman pulls something new out of his hat to change things up.

If none of these appeal to you, or if you're already reading all of them, then feel free to drop in on the store and ask for some suggestions. As some of my friends can tell you, there's great books not on this list that I rave about constantly, and there's some great graphic novels that we keep just for those people who want to pick up a good book and read it.
