Something I've never quit understood is how people who watch a movie or tv show that was based on a comic, really enjoy the show, but never go any further and seek out the comic.
It's been shown that sales on comics do not get higher after a movie has premiered.
If you like something, why not get more of that something?

So here's a list of upcoming TV shows based on comics and if you like them, I BETTER see you down here buying comics about them.

DEFENDERS:
Not one, but FIVE new series from Netflix are coming. Marvel kicks off with a Daredevil 13-episode series.
Following DD will be Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, all of which will be set in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen.
The plan is for these four shows to culminate in a team-up mini-series The Defenders.

CONSTANTINE
The series will focus on John Constantine, a dark magician who is struggling with his past sins as he tries to protect humanity from a gathering supernatural threat. The trailer is already out and it looks amazing.

iZOMBIE
A med student-turned-zombie takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head.

THE FLASH
Barry Allen recently appeared in two episodes of Arrow as a way of re-introducing the character to audiences with a view to giving the speedster his own show. The pilot was recently shot and if it meets the high standards that Arrow has already set, expect the full series to air by the end of this year or early next. And it's good news for fans of the original show, as John Wesley Shipp will also apparently appear in a role that’s currently being kept under wraps.

AGENT CARTER
Brought to life on screen by Hayley Atwell in Captain America: The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier, Agent Carter will be rumoured to be set during the 1940's and show how SHIELD started.
Winter Soldier scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have already written a pilot script, which takes place in 1946. Dominic Cooper will again play Howard Stark, who will be a recurring character in the proposed series.

SCALPED
Scalped is a comic series very much based in reality. Written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by R.M. Guera, the series was launched in 2007, ran for 60-issues, and detailed life on the fictional Prairie Rose Indian Reservation in modern-day South Dakota.
This show won't be kiddie fair as the book revolved around gambling, drugs, prostitution, violence and murder.

GOTHAM
A new recruit in Captain Sarah Essen's Gotham City Police Department, Detective James Gordon is paired with Harvey Bullock to solve one of Gotham's most high-profile cases ever: the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne. During his investigation, Gordon meets the Waynes' son, Bruce, now in the care of his butler Alfred, which further compels Gordon to catch the killer. Along the way, Gordon must confront gang boss Fish Mooney, as well as many of Gotham's future villains, such as Selina Kyle and Oswald Cobblepot. Eventually, Gordon is forced to form an unlikely friendship with Bruce, one that will help shape the boy's future in becoming the Dark Knight.

PREACHER
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg finally got invloved to get this comic onto the small screen. Created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, the story revolves around a Texan preacher who teams up with his ex-girlfriend and a hard-drinking vampire to track down God following the big fella’s disappearance from heaven.
Again, this won't be kiddie fair by any means and will probably end up on HBO.

HOURMAN
The CW has been developing an Hourman TV series for a while now, with their take on the character casting hero Rex Tyler as “a brilliant-yet-troubled pharmaceutical analyst who discovers that the visions that have plagued him since childhood are actually glimpses of tragic events occurring one hour in the future. Determined to win back his ex-wife and son, he heroically prevents these tragedies from unfolding, finding both purpose and redemption along the way.”

AGENTS OF SHIELD
Yeah, yeah. You gave it a couple of episodes and gave up. Well then you missed one of the best shows on TV.
While waiting for Captain America 2 to finish it's storyline, AoS was in limbo but soon after, became THE show to watch and has been picked up for a second season.

The comic to read for this?
SECRET AVENGERS.
