I'm a big fan of board games, and I love many different kinds. From the giant beasties that can take a full weekend to play to the tabletop games you can start and finish in five minutes while waiting for the commercials to stop. From Zombie Dice to Arkham Horror, I've played a lot of games. An unfortunate side effect of that is that I don't get around to playing the same game again often.

One that I find myself coming back to time and time again is Smash Up. If you haven't played it before, Smash Up is a great game based on playing different combinations of tropes with each other to establish your dominance and build up armies of monsters, all in the interest of Victory points. It's full of silliness and fun like many of the best games. The rules are very simple and quick to learn. Best of all? The different combinations offer a different experience every time.

If you're a veteran, in addition to the Original game and the two expansions we've already seen, the new Science Fiction Double-Feature Expansion just released, adding Time-Travelers, Cyborg Apes, Super Spies and Shape-shifters into the mix. Each of the expansions are enough to add two players to your games, while the main set supports four players. I've got all three expansions and the main set available here at the store, so that you can play Time Traveling Cthulhu vs. Ghost Bear Cavalry.
