We just got in a bunch of expansions for this entertaining game. Below is a review of the Anime Deck

In light of the 2015 Anime Expo, Skybound Games has released an all-new Anime Deck for its hit game Superfight. Emertainment Monthly gathered a group of anime enthusiasts to put it to the test!
The main rules of Superfight are pretty simple. Each player has to draw three white cards, which represent different characters and three black cards which represent different attributes. The players then need to chose one character and one attribute which they will show to the other players, discard the rest of the cards, and draw another random black card to add to their fighter.

From here, there are different types of gameplay. In one of the versions, called The Superfight two players pit their characters against each other, and once they draw an extra black card with a new attribute, debate who would win the fight. The rest of the rest of the players make the final decision and the next player creates a fighter to go against the winner of the first round.

In a different version of the game, Villain Battle, the “Villain”, a different player in every round, picks up cards to create their fighter. The players create their own characters in the same way as before which will become the chosen ones to oppose the Villain, who eventually decides who would be the one to defeat them. That fighter receives one point.

The Anime Deck includes 100 cards that you can add to your core deck and is something anime fans have been eagerly looking forward to. Featuring characters ranging from Naruto to Princess Mononoke and Everyone at an Anime Convention with stunning abilities like “Armed with a Dominator” and “Leading a Harem of Fighter Girls” this expansion pack gives you the opportunity to recreate all the epic battles you have imagined while binge watching Fullmetal Alchemist. The pack also includes location cards with favorites such as “All Girls High School”, “Feudal Japan”. And in case you want to spice things up, you can also choose scenario cards such as “Surrounded by Tentacle Monsters”!

At first thought, Superfight might seem too much of theoretical game to actually be fun. But things do actually tend to get interesting when you come across showdowns such as the Colossal Titan that is Too Kawaii For Words vs Madoka Armed with a Deathnote which is taking place in Future Tokyo and where the Winner is Chosen By Fanservice! Trying to decide the outcome of a fight between Totoro who happens to have Five Super Strong Invisible Arms and a Super Otaku Astro Boy can be quite the debate!

Superfight turns out to be a very fun game, especially when played with a large group of people. It is surprising how many arguments one can come up with to support these epic and often ridiculous conflicts. The Anime Deck is especially exciting for fans of the medium, and it includes enough well-known figures to not require extensive knowledge of anime series. However, even though the deck does supply you with a couple of blank cards which you can use to give epic new attributes to your favorite anime characters that are not already included, it would be nice to see the list expanded to include a wider variety of characters that could satisfy the more devout fans. The location and scenario cards could also be expanded upon even though they already include favorites such as “Beach Episode”, “Bath House” and “Physics Pretty Much Don’t Apply”.

Despite these minor flaws however, playing Superfight is a very enjoyable experience filled with hilarious and absurd arguments, especially when combined with the Anime Deck!
