MNG players can't get MVPs randomly, so it would make sense to me that they could not be selected for it either. But it may be different since it is an optional rule, and it isn't my call=)

really quick poll
should I as comish make the 1st week or two worth of pairings skewed toward pairing "rookie" teams against each other?
or just do them totally random?

oh and only players that could have participated are eligible for MVP.
meaning no guys missing this game, but yes to a player that sat on the bench all day.

Being one of the rookies, I'd prefer a rookie match up. This would give me time to play some pick ups so I'm not-so-rookie when I face the bigger teams.

Ron Lindhorst will want to play this season, I belive. I will try to get ahold of him friday or saturday and see whats up. I told him about the league starting up before but now that we have a set start time I need to get ahold of him again.

If we could get one more rookie, we could have some good pairings. The first three games for each of us could be against another new rookie team and the experienced coaches could be paired with eachother for three unique opponents. After that it would probably be time to take the gloves off and mix everyone. It would give the rookies plenty of time to get some pick up games in.
