News › Consideration level by gamers to other tables
Store It has been my pleasure and privilege to play at Merlyn's as it is for a number of other people; a welcoming gaming area with clean tables, sodas & snacks at the counter, great staff, and too many temptations to lure a hard-core gamer such as myself with opportunities to spend money on (lets face it) toys. My greatest displeasure is in having to repeat myself numerous times to my immediate group as to what benefit/penalty actions taken will have. This is due to uncivilized, rude persons at nearby tables who are too concerned with THEMSELVES and their opinions (however moronic they may be) and proceed to make LOUD statements over their fellows' voices. Please remember that we are ALL here to have a good time and we are only ALLOWED to remain at the goodwill of others - this is not our home, it is a place of business that PERMITS us to game and pursue our amusements at $0.00 cost. Maybe that is the reason these people are here and not at home - it's rude and shows a lack of concern for others. If their families / roommates won't allow such gatherings at home lets not have to suffer them here! We are amongst strangers about who we haven't the slightest clue as to background, temperament, willingness to "teach" manners to others... Lets all be more considerate, people, and learn manners and appropriate behavior in social functions however informal, especially volume control. If the people who you game with don't want to hear your comments, neither does the group playing a different game at the next table. And please stop trying to impress others with volume regardless of subject; a wise man may be thought a fool for not speaking, a fool speaks and removes all doubt...
